WISCONSIN ARSON INSURANCE COUNCIL

WAIC was established in 1980 for the purpose of supporting the Wisconsin Arson Tip Line, 1- 800 - 362 - 3005, to enhance the training and education of insurance claims, fire and police personnel and to create communication links between insurance, fire and police in the fight against arson in Wisconsin.

WAIC OBJECTIVES

The WAIC reformed its objectives, dedicating itself to the single task of supporting the Wisconsin Arson Hotline. As of September, 2003 WAIC had substantially increased its membership, growing 33%  since 2002.

POSTERS

WAIC sees its most important function to be support of the Hotline which is prominently posted by police and fire agencies at fire scenes where arson may have been a factor.  Posters are printed in English and in Spanish and are provided free of charge to police and fire agencies throughout Wisconsin. Refrigerator magnets are made available to fire departments for distribution in their communities advertising the Hotline and reminding residents of their opportunity to provide valuable information to the police to solve crimes of arson.

REFRIGERATOR MAGNETS

For the past 24 years the Wisconsin Arson Insurance Council has funded and maintained the Arson Hot Line.  The Council provides cash rewards for tips on Arson Fires.  Through the Arson Hotline, confidential callers are rewarded for their efforts.

WAIC now has a limited supply of HOTLINE refrigerator magnets available at no cost for distribution by fire departments and law enforcement agencies throughout the state.

These “business card” sized magnets are ideal for handing out at community and public affairs events.  If your jurisdiction has arson concerns the magnets can be distributed to all citizens in the affected area.

The magnets are more discrete way to let people know that they might be eligible for a reward if they have information about a fire.  To learn more about the magnets please use the following links.
