2019 WIIAAI Spring Training Seminar

 

June 4th, 5th, and 6th, 2019

Stevens Point Holiday Inn and Convention Center

Tuesday June 5 4th - 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (evening meal included)

Wednesday June 5th - 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (evening meal included)

Thursday June 6th 8:00 am – 12:00 pm 

 

The lineup for instructors this year will include Joe Konefal, Retired California Fire Marshall speaking on Death Investigations and Explosion Investigations which include Homemade Explosives. Greg Gorbet, Eastern Kentucky University speaking on Applied Fire Dynamics and using Damage in O&C Determination. Chris Klahn and Rick Buser from the WI-DNR speaking on Investigating Wildland Fires. We will also be having a beanbag toss tournament at the tailgate party on Tuesday evening. A signup sheet will be available at the registration table for this event. These topics and instructors are subject to change without notice. While we strive to provide accurate topic and instructor information, some things are beyond our control.

 

In addition, the 20 hour basic course will be offered for new or inexperienced investigators.

Due to several requests, the Juvenile Firesetters Course (JFS) will also be offered this year.

These courses will run concurrently with the General Session.

They will only hold the room block until May 21st 2019. As we can no longer request a rate change for attendees after this date, Please book your room early!

Rooms will once again be charged the state rate of $82/night single occupancy and $109/night Double Occupancy. After this date, all reservations will be charged regular room rates. All Reservation Requests received are Subject to Room availability.
