Wisconsin Chapter 25 is an organization dedicated to improving fire investigation in the State of Wisconsin, our chapter is not only committed to its membership but is committed to anyone who is interested in providing professional people dedicated to fire/arson investigation in the State of Wisconsin.

As you can see by the objectives listed above, Wisconsin Chapter 25 IAAI is an organization dedicated to providing not only instruction to its membership, but a means of communication throughout all organizations that are involved in the fire/arson investigation field.
Whether you are in public service, the insurance field or a private investigator, Wisconsin Chapter 25 IAAI is here to help. Our membership has learned to work together to make the field of fire/arson investigation more fluid between all the agencies that are involved.
- The primary objective of this organization shall be the instruction of individuals for the purpose of improving arson investigation in the State of Wisconsin and to educate the public concerning the arson problem in the state.
- To unite for mutual benefit those public officials and private persons engaged in the control of arson and kindred crimes
To provide for exchange of technical information and developments. - To cooperate with all law enforcement agencies and associations to further fire prevention and the suppression of crimes.
- To encourage high professional standards of conduct among the members and to continually strive to eliminate all factors which interfere with the administration of justice.
DCARI training on Wednesday February 15, 2012 at McFarland Fire Department at 6 PM. The Dane County Arson Response Initiative (DCARI) will be meeting in the training room at the McFarland Fire Department located at 5915 Milwaukee Street, McFarland at 6 PM.
This training will include: A presentation by The City of Madison Fire Department’s Captain Brad Olson Supervisor of the Fire Investigative Unit on “Determining the Origin” featuring a power point, photographs and videos. A general membership meeting that will involve the election of new board members. A pizza and soda dinner! Training games, group activities and a survey to get your ideas for future training topics. If possible, please review NFPA 921 Chapters 3, 6 and 17 prior to the meeting. Please RSVP so we know how many training materials we need and how much food to purchase. The Wood County Fire Investigation Task Force is sponsoring a one day training session on March 3rd in Pittsville. This will be an explosion case study that will be taught by the State Fire Marshal's office. Class will be from 10am - 3pm with a lunch served. Doors will open at 9am with coffee and doughnuts served. WCFITF Registration Form
Fire Investigation for the Insurance Industry on March 14 in Stevens Point. This course will cover many topics that will help the insurance adjustor, claim representative, and claim supervisor to understand fire investigations. Instructors will be IAAI President Rodney Pevytoe - CFI, WIIAAI 1st Vice President Mike Rindt-CFI, and Attorney Bob Burrell-CPCU. Cost: $25.00 (Includes 1 year membership) Maximum 75 attendees. Spring Seminar 2012. The Seminar committee has announced the subjects that will be covered at the Spring Seminar. We will be covering NFPA 1033 and the World of Daubert; NFPA 921 to include Negative Corpus and Update and Proposals; Two case studies from WI; Issues to consider when working on the same scene together for the Insurance Industry and public sector; Basic Fire Investigation class taught by the State Fire Marshall's; and once again we will have a Vendor area. Make sure to save the dates of June 5th - 7th, 2012. It is also VERY IMPORTANT that you get your reservation in early at the hotel so you can get the reduced rate for seminar. If you call after the cutoff date, you WILL NOT be able to get this rate. Hope to see you there.

WAIC Grant for WIIAAI Spring Seminar. The Wisconsin Arson Insurance Council will award up to two (2) Seminar Grants to active law enforcement or fire service personnel. The WAIC will reimburse the grant recipient up to $250.00 for costs associated with attending the 2012 Wisconsin Chapter IAAI Spring Seminar in Stevens Point, WI. Included in the grant amount is a $20.00 meal stipend. The total amount of the grant, including the meal stipend will not exceed $250.00. In order to receive reimbursement the student receiving this grant must provide the WAIC Board of Directors with a “Tested” Certificate of Attendance, and receipts to account for registration and lodging expenses. 2012 WAIC Grant Form
